Our Story
Sugarfoot's Bake Shack wasn't born in a corporate kitchen — it was born at a home counter, with a well-worn recipe box and a stubborn belief that people deserve better than factory-baked bread. Today, we're still doing exactly that: baking real food, the real way, right here on East 18th Street.
Every loaf, every tart, every cake is mixed, shaped, and baked by hand. No shortcuts. No preservatives. Just flour, butter, salt, and the kind of patience that turns ordinary ingredients into something worth stopping for.
What We Do Best
Some bakers do a little of everything. We chose to do a few things extraordinarily well — and let our regulars tell the rest of the story.
Sourdough, ciabatta, rosemary focaccia — each loaf gets a long cold ferment and a crust that crackles when you break it open.
Birthdays, weddings, or just-because — we design and bake celebration cakes that look as remarkable as they taste.
